The Wind

Over the past two weeks in Literature class, my classmates and I had covered three fascinating poems: "Glory", "Metaphor", and "The Wind - tapped like a tired Man". Each spoke of different issues and conveyed different themes. Among the three poems, "the Wind - tapped like a tired Man" by Emily Dickinson had been my favourite and had spoken to me most. In her poem, Emily Dickinson vaguely expresses her longing for the memories of a lost one and her struggle to grasp them once more. The poem had awakened me to the value of all my surroundings, however small that value may be, and that I should cherish every waking moment I am surrounded by my loved ones.
